M.R.Krishna Murthy, grandson of Rao Sahib M.Rama Rao of Bangalore, is an Alumnus from Kalakshetra, a renowned Dance School of India at Chennai. He has undergone rigorous and disciplined training by none other than the legendary Smt. Rukmini Devi for more than a decade and further special training from Smt. Mylapore Gowriammal. The well-known guru Chandupanicker has initiated him into the intricacies of Kathakali.
He is the recipient of the Government of India Scholarship for the talented dancers. As a junior dancer, he has received awards of the Annual Grant-in-Aid to the talented artists under the Madras State Sangeeta Nataka Sangam. Under this scheme he has given several solo Bharathanatyam performances assisted by kalakshetra musicians. He has traveled widely with kalakshetra, performing all over the world.
Known for his unerring sense of rhythm and music, he has executed many performances with ease and grace. He is a perfectionist where art is concerned, whether it is nrutta or nrutya. His arresting dance patterns, as a critic puts, is a feast to one’s eyes. His repertoire in the subject is both vast and interesting.
He founded KALAKSHITHI, School of Fine Arts in the year 1991 in Bangalore to nurture young talent in the art. His ambition is to teach succeeding generations in its purest form, in the tradition he learnt in Kalakshetra, adhering to the highest quality of education without any compromise.

Smt. C.K. Amirthavalli, was initiated into Bharatanatyam by Guru. Smt. K. Lalitha of Saraswathi Gana Nilayam, Chennai.
After her arangetram, she moved to Bangalore and trained under Prof Mr. M.R. Krishnamurthy.
Passionate about dance, she completed her M.F.A. (Master of fine arts) in Bharatanatyam from Kalai Kaviri College of fine arts affiliated to Bharatidasan University, Tirucharapalli. She co-founded Saadhana – an actively performing team of classical dancers and participated in several in house as well as out of state performances.
A vibrant performer and passionate teacher Smt. Amirthavalli established “Taraangini School of dance” in 2005 in Bangalore, India, with the sole aim of maintaining excellence and discipline in the approach toward Bharatanatyam and to groom young aspirants to perfection.
Smt. Amirthavalli moved to the United States in 2016 and since then has been training students in the city of Minneapolis.
